Solution: Include more quinoa, tofu, lean cheese, spinach, chard, peanuts, dried apricots, asparagus, seeds, and legumes in your diet. Also, broccoli and kale are essential for improving iron absorption. Be aware that certain allergies caused by cosmetic products may also cause cracked lips.

Red rash on the face that is flaky and/or excessive hair loss

If you experience a scaly rash and redness on your scalp or face, it may be a sign of biotin deficiency.

Solution: Boost your biotin intake by eating almonds, peanuts, goat milk, chard, yogurt, tomatoes, carrots, nuts, onions, sesame seeds, avocados, milk, bananas, and mushrooms.

Additionally, during colder weather, skin conditions like atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea, skin lupus, allergic contact dermatitis on the face, psoriasis, and erythematosus can worsen. It’s important to take extra care of your skin during winter.

Common factors that lead to hair loss

Other factors include thyroid disease, birth control pills, postpartum hair loss in women, certain medications, fungal infections in children, lupus and diabetes, certain hairstyles, hot hair oils and chemicals, and genetics.

Solution: Increase your intake of healthy fats from nuts and seeds like flaxseed. Green leafy vegetables, carrots, and peppers are also important for boosting vitamin A levels. Including more dairy products in your diet can also be beneficial.

Numbness in the hands, feet, and other body parts or burning sensation

If you experience numbness, tingling, or a burning sensation in your hands, feet, or other body parts, it may indicate a deficiency in vitamin B9, B6, and B12. These vitamins are crucial for the peripheral nervous system. Vitamin B deficiency can also lead to depression, anemia, and fatigue.

Solution: Consume more spinach, beets, asparagus, beans, and dairy products to ensure you’re getting enough of these essential B vitamins.
