His research revealed that a dish cooked with aluminum foil can contain up to 400mg of this dangerous metal. To put this into perspective, the World Health Organization recommends a daily allowance of no more than 60mg of aluminum.
Based on his findings, Dr. Zubaidy advises against using aluminum foil for cooking, especially when it comes to vegetables like tomatoes, citrus juice, and spices. The higher the cooking temperature, the greater the risk of chemical leaching.
