His findings revealed that a single dish cooked with aluminum foil can contain up to 400mg of this toxic metal. To put that into perspective, the World Health Organization recommends a daily intake of no more than 60mg of aluminum.

In light of Dr. Zubaidy’s research, it’s clear that using aluminum foil for cooking should be avoided, especially when it comes to cooking vegetables like tomatoes, citrus juice, or spices. The higher the cooking temperature, the greater the risk of chemical leaching. So, for the sake of our health, let’s think twice before reaching for that roll of aluminum foil.
